Two new mods...finally

I finally got around to doing the USB2 mod. I like not having the extra cable sticking out of the dash. I did break off the top tab of the plug on the back of the unit while trying to jam the cable in there. I'm not too concerned since you can't see it anyhow.

The other mod is my new stubby antenna from Craven Speed that Santa brought me. Since I don't listen to actual radio stations much anyhow, I don't really care if the reception is good or bad with it. I just like the look of the shorter antenna.

You know I never listen to FM either, but what I like about having the antenna is that it sticks up a few inches above the cab. I like this as it lets me know when low hanging trees or branches are close so I don't scrape the roof.

You guys make me feel old - I always listen to FM radio. Well, most of the time. We have a funny show in the mornings on a local station. I do have my USB2 mod done and a flash drive in the glove compartment with my itunes library though.
Juneau, how about a picture of that antenna? Otherwise I don't believe you!

Edit: And now that I said this here, I realize that it says "Elder User" under my screen name. WTH?

You think you feel old? I don't even have a itunes library. I still have stacks of CDs. I am really enjoying the 80's station on Sirius though.

In my garage I've got a bag of 8-Tracks, next to a box of cassette tapes, next to a binder of CDs. I was glad to get an iPod because I noticed it would take up very little room on my shelf when it eventually gets replaced with whatever is next.

(Unfortunately, I got rid of all my Vinyl, which of course, seems to be the only form of outdated media that is still seemingly worth something today. )

I feel young again. Thanks guys!

And I doubt juneau ever got a new antenna - as he is refusing to post pictures - or any reply for that matter.

Ok, ok. Give a brother a break already. I was waiting to get the truck washed before snapping some pictures. Since you can't wait, here's your antenna pic:

And for good measures, here's the pic of the cable from the USB2 mod:

So, there.

LOL, I like that Antenna.
So you are saying the reception is worse than with the stock one, right?

I still have 8 tracks and the Beatles is one of them!

Sounds just like I guy I used to work with...he has thousands of cd's...and I mean thousands! I asked him why doesn't he just buy an iPod and he can have all his music with him wherever he goes. He has still yet to get around to doing it...lol
