i am planning on putting an efi manifold on my motor. i was wondering what exhaust set up sounds the best on these trucks. i am not really into the sound of flowmasters. i want it to be loud but not overly so.

Well if you are not into Flows, you can do like i did and run turbo mufflers. I have hedders with true dual turbos. Here is a clip: http://www.bigblocksix.com/masterp2wd/turbos1.wav
