Instrument cluster problem
I am asking this here because there is almost no traffic in the E-150 section.
2005 e-150 as title says The fuel gauge is intermittent the sender in the tank is good the wiring from the IC to the sender and back tests good so i am down to the Ic. If I take it out and piddle with it it will work for about week or two. Question is can the fuel gauge portion of this be replaced or does it take the complete Ic replacement. If I have to replace the Ic what does the dealer IC flash get me does it correct the odometer ??? I can get an Ic from salvage it is a part number exact match for $65.00 but don't know the consequences of just putting it in.
