Hey Joe,
Looks like I should have kept the trailer I sold you because someone thought I didn't need my car trailer so they helped themselves to it on Sunday night. Took it ball lock and all from outside the garage where your trailer was setting and no one heard or saw anything.Ain.t that a crock of POOOOOOOOP.
That does suck! I have my car trailer insured for Comprehensive and Collision. I only have a $50 or $100 Collision deductible and no deductible on the Comprehensive. I also took pictures of how my trailer is equipped in case it does get stolen so I can prove to the insurance company and get reimbursed for the attached equipment too (tool box on the tongue w/winch, straps, and LED lights all around.
I'm hoping you had insurance on it. My premium is only $20 every 6 months.
Oh that blows! Sorry to hear that. I hope you can get it back! Freakin thieves...
Dad and i share a car trailer. He keeps it out in the front of his house. We went a little farther though and set a huge anchor into the ground in concrete. From that we wrap a huge chain around the tounge of the trailer and secure it with a lock. Also helps that it's facing away from the street too. This may not completely stop the thieves, but it sure as hell will slow them down while dad gets the shotgun!
It was the only thing I own that wasn't insured, my garage insurence will cover up to 1500.00 but then there is the 1000.00 deductable so it really does suck.
Hook 220 volts to the next one and put a puddle of water under it. I HATE a thief. Do you have a picture of it? It will pop up somewhere. Maybe even craigslist.
I agree Doc... those who help themselves to others property are pretty low on the food chain in my opinion. I'm afraid to leave anything out in plain sight any more. I bought a parts truck last Fall that had sat outside for years near an old grain elevator in my area. I had just went back to see what would be needed to move the truck to our farm and discovered someone had stolen the mirrors off it. Man was I pissed. Had it moved that day so nothing else would go missing. I wanted those mirrors (camper special mirrors) bad!
Sorry to hear about the theft Gary. Hopefully it will turn up. I had my GPS stolen out of my car on the street in front of our house. Cops did recover and I got it back because I registered the serial #.
