I currently have a '74 F100 that had a dead 360cid engine in it. I aquired a 5.0 out of a 93 F150 along with the transmission, wireing harness computer intake. Almost everything needed to get it running. I have two questions keeping me from moving forward.
I set up an inline electric fuel pump but got stumped when it comes to the fuel rail. Which side is the Supply and which is return?
Secondly, I have almost all the sensors wired up and located but I am at a loss for the vehicle speed sensor. Where is it on the 93 and where can i put it on my 74? Also, is there a way to hook up a mechanical speedo to this trans?

Probably not. Prior to 1992 Ford had a spot for the speedometer cable in the tailhousing of the transmission. The 4x4s had it on the transfer case. When Ford switched to the electronic speedometer in 1992 they eliminated the hardware for the mechanical speedometer drive.
If your transplanted transmission is an E4OD you will need to provide a vehicle speed signal to the PCM. It is a required input for the transmission to properly function. You may have to consider an aftermarket external VSS.
