Think I might even run it out to jdadamsjr house and see if i can talk him into helping me.. If I ever get out there.
give yourself 2hrs if solo, an hr with help. half the time is trying to line everything up with only 2 hands. Floor jack helps too for keeping shocks from fully extending

Fuha talk to C&D's Performance on 820 -
fair prices for all my installs as I don't crawl around under there like I used to

FYI - will be there @ 1 today to get the ras installed and
pick up the old one to meet up with Torreador Diesel on Friday...

On my v-10 4wd it was 5/8" and 3/4"

With my mild lift kit I have 4" on each side now.

Look here.
Roadmaster Active Suspension, rear leaf spring suspension, simple installation, improve road handling, reduce sway, reduce dangerous body roll on cornering, eliminate bottoming out, eliminate wheel hop, eliminate axle wrap, strengthen the rear leaf s

What appeals to me about the RASS is that it is purely mechanical, no interface with the driver is needed, and is only "working" when a load (internal or external) is placed on it. I'm sure it can fail just like any other stock suspension part, however, but IMO, it is probably less prone to failure as compared to air bags (which are really nice also).

Why do you think my truck runs so good and wreaks of awesomeness?

Can't wait to get that thing on either!

I was beside myself trying to figure out whether to buy a sway bar or the RAS. After a few of John's convincing PM's and watching a few videos on the RAS website, I'm sold on the RAS!

Look forward to meeting up with you John!

General rule of thumb, I never buy my wife something she can throw at me.

I had that question too Fuha,
so I spoke to the mfg and he said it will work fine,
in fact, he came just short of saying it would work better than on a stock vehicle because many lifted vehicles may have wheel hop which the RAS will help...

course like any part, you have to have the 3 to 4" of clearance above the leaf to install it and on mine there was more than enough clearance.

Just what I figured...

For all intensive purposes, my truck is technically only 2-3 inches taller than a stock 4x4 Excursion, that's why I wasn't too terribly concerned about it.
