Been looking into these for some time now, just wondering if anyone has seen the gains that they claim on there website. I was wanting to go fenderwell exit and just wanted to know how to go about routing the exhaust
As for gains I really don't know since I yanked a tired old 400 and installed a 503 with those headers. That being said I guess I did see a gain!! lol Just not sure how much was header related. I really like the headers tho. Very well made. No leaks as of yet and it's been about 1.5 years. I used the fender well exit headers since my pickup is 4X4 and by using fender well exit I could make my own exhaust. I simply ran the pipe straight back thru a magna flow muffler, a bit more pipe, then a 90 to turn exhaust out in front of the back tire. However, I also have a flat bed which makes that a little easier.
I used L&L products on my old truck. I felt all of their products were superb. The headers were well built with nice thick flanges, and their engine brackets for power steering and alternator were well designed. I'd highly recommend them.

I'm not sure on my performance gains either since I swapped my 351m for the 460 at the same time. No tire clearance probs for me. I'm running 33 x 12.50 15 Wrangler Duratracs on 15 x 10 wheels.
And to the OP with fenderwell exits its easy to route the rest of the exhaust sys. You can have the pipe bent to tuck up close to the bottom of the cab, so it is some what protected by the frame and put on some mufflers and turn it out in front of the rear tires and go.
What I did instead of bending the pipe, I just welded the 3 bolt flange to the exhaust pipe at an angle. Then when I bolted it up, the pipe came up closer to the cab.
