Ok have had power steering fluid leak for about a month have not really had time to fix it so been adding fluid . Well the dam busted and will not hold any fluid now . Got it in garage today and it is one of the hydro boost lines . It is the one on the bottom of the pump , there is a brass 3/8 fitting that goes in and the hard line comes down and goes to another brass fitting that turns a 90 and in to the other fitting it is lose there and leaks bad . My question is can this fitting or line be tighten or does it have to be replaced , and how to get it off .
That's gonna be fun David. Mine has had a "weep" there for a LONG time but I've never fussed with it since I don't lose enough fluid to matter. I have no information on tightening the fitting but give it a shot.

I've had the same "weep" for a year now. Getting a new driveway soon so I'll be forced to fix it. lol
Truck still in garage haven't messed with it yet , lucky i don't need to haul anything now been driving jeep . Boys that weep will get worse trust me i know . When i fix it or get it tighten it will let you all know . I do know that the lower rad hose has got to come off and the fitting is really tight to the pulley so we will see .
If it's like mine, then there is a teflon o-ring on the fitting. They are about 10 cents at Ford. You have to heat them in hot water to make them expand, then quickly install onto the fitting. A simple fix that can be a nightmare. Do not over tighten. Buy a few o-rings in case you wreck one during installation.
HAHA--mine is like the infamous rear main seal leak that has the bell housing drip that never hits the ground.
At least you know where yours is coming from...Mine is power steering and it looks like it's coming from the area below the reservoir but I can't see chit. Gotta pull my bumper off and remove my plow brackets for good and check everything over real well. I also need to deal with my trans lines as they look like they're ready to fall off at the radiator. It's gonna be a costly year for me...
