Height Adjustable Pedal Mod?

I have a 2000 Limited Ex without height adjustable pedals, which is fine for me but a problem for my 5'1" wife. Is there any way to add height adjustable pedals? If so what would be involved with this mod?

I'm sure this can be added but money wise you would need to buy used parts. I think you would need the adjustable cylinder, wireing and switch. The master cylinder should be the same. I am not for sure if the brake pedal bracket is the same or not. The best way to do a change over like this is first find one in the wrecking yard. These are my thoughts.

The person to contact is SUNLINE FAN on the Excursion fourm he more than likely may even have the parts. He's the go to guy for Excursion parts as of now.

So all the bolts line up from the '00's pedals and the '02 and newer power adjust pedals??

I have never looked at a 00 but most of the parts interchange. The best way to find out is look at one and compare.
You may have to change the cylinder bracket under the dash, I have the adjustable one on mine. I will see if I can find one that dosen't and compare it if you can't find one. I may be going to the wrecking yard this week.

Urban - Thanks for the response, this will help in the future, when I have the funds to attempt this.

2000 - It wasn't really a high-jack, it helped clarify further questions I had.

Ok..and also you will need to change the lower dash with one that contains the switch unless if you want to wire up a toggle switch instead. I'm going to try this over the weekend and ill post pics of the progress to help.

You could possibly put it right under the little cubby but on the 02 and up, the switch is right next to the cubby.

Mine is right next to the chubby hole.
I don't know how its wired up but that would not be hard to do even if you had to use an inline fuse.

post #10, states parts order from dealer, so IF you can find the pedal assembly in the junk yard - you should be good to go - you can wire up a simple switch if you want vs. get the actual Ford switch.

ok I figured they could be put in, I can get all the parts out of a wrecked excursion I need for 40 bucks the guy said. Just wanted to make sure it was doable before spending the 40 bucks.
