F-600 value
Can someone give me a site where I can find the value of a 1991 F-600, 5-2, 6.6 liter 14 foot stakebody. I have found two for sale, but have not a clue as to their value. Both have less that 54,000 miles and in excellent shape appearance wise. Kelly's and other guides only list auto's and light trucks. Thanks.

I would recommend picking up a copy of Heavy Truck Trader, and just see what they are going for. Make an offer of less than that, and there is the value. By 6.6l do you mean the 401-6 Diesel?

We were looking for one a while back. Around here they range from around 9,000-13,000 depending on body type. A cab/chassis in good condition with under 50k on it would go for around 10 grand.
That engine is a 6.6l inline 6 cyl. turbo diesel. it put out 170hp and 402lb/ft of torque, all under 2600rpm. Good motor, but weak if you really load it up. Ford used those in most of the medium duty truck lineup.(L series) If you can find one with the 7.8L inline 6 cyl. aftercooled turbo diesel, they put out something like 245hp. and 610lb/ft. of torque. That would get you down the road a little better.
Hey Jared, this is the other Jared from Waterbury. I don't think you can stuff this motor in a half ton, it would take some hellafied hackin, thats for sure.
