My truck is suppose to be a 77 F150. I don't have the hole in the frame where the brake hose would go through in the bottom part of the c - channel. I also don't see how the block can mount to the axle.
The factory front axle line had a piece of hard line going from the proportioning valve to a block on the frame and then from there a rubber hose down to the block/bracket that mounted to the axle.
The factory brake block mounted to the side of the pumpkin but there isnt a way for this one to mount like that. There's a bolt on the top of the axle I could get a longer one of but then the block is in the wrong spot for the lines that go to the calipers.
Finally got around to taking some pictures. I know someone must have used the superlift extended hoses from JBG. I'm thinking I might have to make a little bracket for the front axle block on the hose.
I've got that hose, I haven't put it on yet but mine mounts up just where the stock stuff is... I was just looking at it today. if I remember I'll take a picture.
mine does route through the hole in the frame. Perhaps they changed the routing in '78. Not sure. I was busy all day and didn't have time to take a pic.
