So I put new glow plug wires on today, and notices when I cycled the glow plugs the solenoid was clicking and the tach was bouncing. What's ur thoughts?

 

My tach is about 200 RPM fast. Maybe it is a ground issue. Shifts are a little late in my opinion. I have yet to mess with the sensor. I have a spare that I can swap in but no guarantee it is better than what I have now. This is one of those things I have been putting off since it is not a major issue.

 

Ground issue. Try running the ground to clean spot on the chassis, block or even battery terminal.

 

I replaced the TECA sensor today, still the same. Tomarrow I'll try putting a multimeter on it and check for power in the fuse box.
