I changed my plugs and I must of put too much anti-seize and not it acts like it's misfiring. Went to dealership to look at and they want to charge me 200 to clean it.
Can I just you carb cleaner on the plugs and down the spark plug hole to clean thread or will it hurt something
I would pull each plug and clean everything off the plugs and reinstall them. Reinstalling the clean plug should push some of the antiseize out. Anti-seize usually has a very high content of conductive solids in it so I can't imagine it causing too much issues for you.
You could always use an O2 safe carb cleaner but don't use much as you don't want to hydrolock the piston. Keep in mind the carb cleaner will just flush the junk into the cylinder. Its possible you could also have a new bad plug, not common but it happens. Your not using Bosch plugs are you?
In the past I have bought 4 new coils that have been bad. All 4 have been bought from a Ford dealership. Went to a parts house and got the $36 coils and so far no problems. You need to make sure what the problem is before doing anything. JMHO on that.
