Rocker arm studs

I bought roller rockers for my D3VE heads and I didn't measure the bolt size and thread size. JEGS sent me some 7/16 with 7/16 studs. 7/16 is right for the rockers but is too big for the heads. I think they're 5/16. Does anyone know for sure what size studs I will need?

What rockers did you buy? D3 heads take a different set of rockers than older heads unless you machine the head for them. Its a 5/16 bolt hole in the head and there are a few places that make roller rockers that will bolt on to them like RMCompetition.com I think they are in Michigan, but they come with a bolt to use installing them. Pedestal mount rockers they are called..

Your heads are most likely pressed in not screwed in, so there are different methods of mounting and adjusting the rocker.

I don't remember the type of roller rockers I bought. I should be able to find the studs for them. And no they're not pressed in but thanks you for trying.

Like WDFP said, it sounds like you bought stud mount rockers and your heads are likely set up for pedastal mount.
If you want to convert the heads to stud mount I believe the rocker arm mounting surface will need to be machined down. I'm not much of an expert on converting the newer heads to stud mount.
I'm running C9VE heads on my truck which are stud mount from the factory.
