Hello all, 1985 F250 5.0L has the two speed wipers. I want to change it to the interval wiper system. I got a switch out of a 1984 F150 but my manual is vague as to what else is required. I know it can't be as simple as plug and play so I pose the question understanding I probably will have to dig into the harness etc. Am I missing additional hardware etc? Thanks for any help anyone can share with me. Richard
I will attempt to get one of the module tomorrow. Plug and play that is my kind of project. Thanks everyone i just hope my harness on this 1985 matches up with the 84 that I got the switch off of. Richard
Some people miss it, or skip it.
Sometimes a person will knock or tear it loose while up there doing something else.
Then they ask why the wipers aren't working.
It has come up before on the forum, so I thought I should mention it.
Being that it is mounted in plastic you have to complete the circuit so a lack of a ground wire could make you pull your last hair out of your head. Just have to see what tomorrow brings from the wrecking yard. The truck I am getting parts off of was wrecked but whoever owned it kept it clean and other parts have all been tip top shape.
Gary, I found all the parts at a junk yard installed it tonight and it worked perfectly. It was just as everyone said plug and play from the word go. Thanks everyone for taking the time to answer my question. Richard
