when i start my truck in the morning. it fire right up. it will idle just fine. i let warm up for couple of min. then take off. when i stop at a stop sign about a block it die. it start right back up it may die again next block. then after that it ok. i had choke replaced. any ideal ? thanks. 360 with 4 speed 2wheel drive new carb new plugs and wires
Sounds like the choke needs to be readjusted. It could be opening too soon letting the engine die, then once the engine is completely warmed up everything is fine,
I agree in that I'd be looking at choke adjustments if it were mine.
Carburetors & chokes are not really plug-and-play devices, they are mechanical and often require some tuning and adjusting for them to work correctly in any given environment.
Jeff - Do you remember the kind that had an on/off/volume ****, and two tuner ***** - VHF & UHF?
Wait, I forgot... those things also had several hidden ***** or screwdriver adjustments... Horizontal Hold, Brightness, sometimes Contrast, etc. etc. etc.

Okay, do you remember the little white dot in the center of the picture tube that SLOWLY disapeared when you turned the TV off?
I remember when TV's only had VHF (2-13), only the high end sets also had UHF.

Yeah, I remember those, but don't remember if it was color or not.
Ever take a magnet, hold it up next to the screen with the TV turned on, and move it around and distort the picture?
If you get your choke adjusted and still have a problem sometimes its probably icing up inside the of your carb. That happens when the hoses from the exhaust manifolds to the air cleaner have been removed and not put back and the carb doesn't get warm air on cold humid mornings. Once the engine warms the carb it will usually run fine..
