Extensive Lighting Problems
I noticed because left rear side marker, stop and tail weren't working.
I started with checking grounds, replacing bulbs and cleaning sockets.
I discovered that turning on the headlights : turns off turn signals, left turn signal dash indicator lights solid (no blinking) but turn signals don't work (left) and all sorts of other odd things.
I'm fixing to check all the circuits, but just wondered if there's a common problem area, or if one of the switches (turn signal, headlight, ??) is notorious for failing and causing strange happenings.
Thanks
Bill
The missing ground is causing the headlights/parking lights to get a ground thru the turn signal circuit. The dash turn indicator is tapped off the front turn signals....so since it is lighting up with the headlights it is a front ground problem.....and since it is the LH turn signal it is the LH front socket ground.
