Does anyone know anything about a PowerBOX Performance Module?
I was just searching around the web and found this item. The price was like $60 and promised up to 70 HP gain. I dont know but it kinda sounds wierd to me. Like you get what you pay for???
In this particular case, I don't really think you even get what you pay for.
I'm pretty sure this is one of those items that make all kinds of promises, like making dog poop taste like Skittles, but really it does nothing. If you want HP, you gotta pay for it.

The way these cheap little things work is that the change resistance from some sensors, In gas engines they usually mess with the signal from the O2 sensors to make the computer dump more fuel into the mix. They are BS and dont take into account other engine paramiters that need to be changed. stick with really Tuners that map the PCM correctly for more power.
Yeah thats kinda what i figured. Would you guys recommend a SCT tuner from 5star instead. Im open to any ideas right now for my 05 250 with a 5.4. That or just get a nice diesel, idea???

Agreed, the tunes from 5 star seem to be the best.

5star seems to be the way to go. I've heard nothing but great things about their product. I'm just waiting for my warranty to expire (or at least put a few more miles on the truck) before buying their tune. The 6.2 is just too new for me to trust just yet.

Ok great let me know how he makes out with that because I'm serously considering one of these tuners. I just need to figure out what tunes to get. I figure that a tuner will be cheaper than a diesel since I have college in the fall, as long as it can still give me enough gains in power and fuel mileage for what I need now. Does anyone know what kind of MPG gains could be expected from one of these tunes?

I say this in the nicest way. If you want Miles per gallon, you're driving the wrong vehicle.
Hopefully my 5 star tuner is in rouite to my house. I got it secdond hand for a good price. It has all the tunes I need already. I know you can order tunes individually form the website for like $85 each if you have the right scanner to for your truck. Im looking forward to trying out the tow tune and the performance tune.

I understand completely but I'd just like to get a little better than what I'm getting now (10-11.5). I definatley need the super duty so I geuss I'll just bite the bullet and do whatever I can to make it as effiecient as possible.
