Troy .. that's pretty dang true. I actually got pulled over one night speeding on my way out of town. I washed the engine on the van, but something got in, so it was running really rough. I gunned it to get out whatever was in there. I was doing about 45 in a 30. Cop was worried that there were "problems at home." I got dang lucky. Tail light was out, couldn't find my insurance card and I had a beer an hour or so before.

How do you test to see if the backup sensors themselves are bad and can you test them individually?

Oh I am sure they are! As long as you don't back up you shouldn't need them!
