I am still looking for a suitable bed floor since my truck does not have one, as well as door hinges and upper rails for the front end.
I tore the engine down and sent it to a local machine shop for the works and the transmission also went to a local shop also to be rebuilt
As you can see the machine shop and transmission shop did a quick turnaround. I assembled the engine, attached the transmission and test fit the assembly in the 1966 chassis. I am currently rebuilding the front end pieces and will try to have the chassis complete by the end of the weekend ----- excluding new brake lines ------- I have not ordered them yet.
If any one is interested I will post hours worked as well as the actual budget for this project as I progress. To-date I spent $795. on the transmission, $2808. for machine shop services and internal engine parts and another $351. On the engine bolt on Items.
I have also purchased add on air conditioning kit and will post its cost when I have everything.
When the chassis is complete I will reinstall the engine and test start it.
If you let me know what areas are of interest you may have, I will try to post pictures and an explanation of what I am doing. My target completion date is June 1 of this year. That is to include me doing all of the body work, patch panels etc, and having a local shop paint the truck .
If you would like to know what I started with I posted an album of the truck as I found it down on the farm.
