I can't find the connector on the diagram but there is a two terminal connector next to the starter solenoid. It has the yellow horn wire and the other is green with a red stripe. That's where ya need to connect it.

This is my dentside but you get the idea:

And the dentside harness... same in principle. Refer to terminals B and C.:

yea that 's what I though but too much info from looking at my old saved 3g stuff.

Is this connector that you disconnect from the voltage regulator. If you look to the left of the starter relay you will see a 2 connector with one wire #904 that is a green/ red wire the yellow wire is not shown, is that what you are talking about, thanks.

I just hooked up the yellow alternator wire to power red cable on the alternator.

Yep, that's the one.... 904. However, contrary to what the diagram says my connector ain't red. You can verify it is by trying to honk the horn with the connector unplugged.

Again, if you remove the sheathing from the original harness, you will notice that some wires are longer then they need to be and were actually double-backed against themselves before they were wrapped. I removed the unnecessary lengths (and resoldered the ends) to clean up the engine bay and simplify the harness. I already did the 3G swap in early December on my bump and it charges at a whopping 14.8 Volts.

Yeah, the yellow wire goes to battery side of the starter solenoid or it can be connected directly to the positive terminal. Your call. I prefer using the solenoid's post.

Ok great thanks again, just wanted to check before I wired it up. I checked the master diagram and missing wire on that connector is the yellow horn wire like you said.

I noticed some of doubling up under the dash never give it any though. I hope to rewire this year, I all ready have a couple junkyard harness to work with but that's down the road. Woud be a good time loose some of that extra wire thanks for the heads up.

Here's a pic of plug 904 with the G/r and hellow horn wire. The yellow wire connected to the solenoid is from the 3G's OEM connector (in the bottom pic).

Thanks for the pics, I wired yellow OEM straight to the Bat. connection on alt. Found out my 3g is dead, went to get it checked before install but parts store did not have right connector. Right now I have other problems, may have seen my other post.

If you don't mind me asking where did you get your mega fuse holder looks alot better tthan mine. Thanks.

Head on over to www.Delcity.net for the megafuse holder..... $8.54 each.

I reused the 3/8-inch headed screws from the now-removed voltage regulator... might as well keep it all SAE.

Great thanks, had to put my old voltage regulator back on having some problems I got to work out. I'm now thinking I may leave it on in case of an emergence. Shame I made a nice plate with my two cont. solenoids for e-fan that fit nicely there. Trying not to drill any extra holes to mount all this stuff. Once I get this stuff going I got to get a stereo in there.
