I disagree with your idea and we'll leave it that. I have the set of studded tires for riding on the ice exclusively. I use a product that is engineered by professionals and used by many for the use on ice. That's all I'm saying. I'm not going to muck up John's thread further. My apologies John. I'm out.
Sorry.
In hindsight, modifying a tire in any way isn't a good idea for anyone to try either.
That opinion would have been better off not spoken of, i suppose.
Certainly even though a bolt and washer *shouldn't* fly out of the hole, if it did, and hit ya, it would hurt a lot worse than the spikes like you have on your tires.
I'm not going to muck up John's thread further. My apologies John. I'm out.
You didn't muck up anything Andre. Remember, this thread and yours are unmuckable.
Good morning my WIH friends!
Gerry, sorry to hear about the snow. It's cooled off a little here but everything is in bloom now and the grass is green as a shamrock. Looks like I'll be mowing the first of the week.
Good morning WIH gang! The Scouts are off to the Harley Davidson Museum today to earn their engineering merit badge. Going to be fun all the way around!
Good morning everyone. Gig.John.Andre.Darren. and all
Savage.in my younger years. I had many times. In many places to race on ice. And all that. The carbide ice studs in a tire just as you have is ideal. The screws hold. And the tire rolls allowing them to grip better.
Bolts are dangerous.
Now in the Jeep class they run a carbide studded bolt from the inside.lookedlike spikes. But they raced on s fifferent section of there own.
I like to watch the Moto cross bikes on ice, they go around there just like dirt...... I studded many sled tracks up here when I worked for the Arctic Cat dealer
Good morning all, have a great Saturday.
@Darren - Nice tires!
@Andre - I likey the wheeler!
@Gerry - it was spitting snow and damp cold here yesterday.
@John - I'm going to have to mow today, it needed to be done 4 days ago but it's been raining all week.
@Paul - I want a goose neck like yours.
@Roy - Congrats buddy!!!!!
