Yeah for now Gerry. They're contacting a district Ford rep and a field engineer to look further into the problem with my transmission.
Still acting up, huh John?
After the solenoid TSB on mine, the truck shifted like it had an Allison tranny. Smooth as butta. After 5,000 miles, it is still better than it was before the TSB, but, every now and then, I get a itty bitty hiccup somewhere around 3rd gear torque convertor lock-up. Especially if I'm just putzing around. Light on the throttle. The more throttle I give it, the smoother it shifts. I sure hope they figure yours out. Good luck buddy.
I had hoped it was fixed when they worked on it before, during, and after Christmas. The other night I pulled out from the rec center as we were leaving my daughter's basketball game. When it shifted from 2nd to 3rd, it was like the engine just shut down and someone stood on the brakes. The thing felt like it was going to stand on its nose. Then it just picked right back up and started running fine again.
My wife looked at me and said what the heck was that. I know that I absolutely didn't hit both pedals and it was all the truck. I'm just at a loss. It's been in six previous times for this and it's still acting up.
You are a patient man, John. I hope they resolve this soon. You deserve a perfect running truck...don't they know who you are??? You're a moderator at FTE for crying out loud
