[QUOTE=Tugly;11505614]The Ford dealership sell theirs for $100. My filter went 20,000 miles (1 year) in a harsh environment. Even at $100, it's a great deal for what it delivers.[/QUOTE

Did you price the dealership on the kit itself?

My AIS came with the truck. The previous owner took very good care of the engine and I'm reaping those benefits. I modified the AIS housing (link in my sig) and I have never had any of the issues that owners complain about with other intake mods. Maybe this is what you're looking for: [LINK]

Riffraff FA1757 filter for AIS.

I added the AIS fender sleeve because the filter minder was really showng a lack of enough air. This really helped.

Well I did my homework and ordered the AIS from dieselfilters.com. They had the best price of 199.00 shipped to my door. I was about to order the sleeve and decided to hold off due to someone posting about it made it louder when cutting a hole in the side. I will see and if it effects the filter minder I may have to do it.

I had no noise problem when I did the mod on mine. If somebody says theirs is louder after the mod, you might try to find out if they broke the seal on the lid or didn't get it clasped back down all the way.

I didn't notice any additional noise and I had the AIS for months before doing the fender sleeve.

Joe was talking about additional noise from doing the fender sleeve.

I'm with you on this one. I had mine for about a year before the fender mod and the only difference I noticed was my filter indicator didn't move after a hard boost anymore. Same sound as before the mod - nothing I can hear over the engine.

Thanks for all the input guys. I am hoping to do the AIS and exhaust at the same time. I am pretty well sold on the AIS for inside the cab noise. I am looking for an exhaust to reduce the noise outside of the cab (and hopefully get rid of the drone when towing). I understand the motor is loud regardless, but the 6637 has just about gotten on my last nerve when towing.

So, from what was said, I think I would lean towards either the magnaflow or the diamond eye. Can you guys help me out with specific model numbers of the one's you've had success with? If Clay offers them, I will buy from him, but if not, do you have a recommendation for where to purchase?

I may look into the dynomat, I am hoping with the AIS and the resonator and the 4 inch MBRP I might can hear myself think. I may take off the resonator, it's robbing some of my power

I have run MBRP and now running Magnaflow, only reason im running magnaflow is i got a smoking deal on it.

Both sound great, MBRP was a little louder. The Magnaflow sounds really good and seems very quiet. my magnaflow is duals bTW.

Tugly, where in Eastern WA are you again?.

Care to share your source for the smoking deal on Magnaflow? I'm not really interested in duals though, just not my style.

I bought it privately. the muffler was slightly used, less than 2000 miles, looked brand new. all piping was never used.
