8.8 carrier?
Would the carrier and gears from a 76 ford 8.8 be the same as a 89' 8.8? I caint find the answer, hopefully it aint to stupid of a question!!!!

What FORD in '76 had an 8.8?

8.8 wasnt in production until early 80's.

To answer the question...no. For the reasons already stated. There is no 1976 8.8 axle. It would have been a 9" axle in a full size 76 truck or Bronco. Albeit, the Bronco 9" is narrower than the truck.

Ford did make an 8" but its the same as a 9".
