Anyone have a pic of a bullnose with the later 94-96 Style mouse ear mirrors?

Are you talking about these ugly plastic ones?

Those don't look too bad on that truck. On a completely different note (excuse the thread hijack) but is that a custom dually out back? That looks awesome!

It's 3 trucks in 1.

The truck started off life as a Regular cab, 1984 F350 4 speed Diesel Cab/chassis truck, now has a 1994 super cab, 1984 interior, and 1990 box and 1984 front clip.

The cab/chassis trucks are narrower than factory pick ups.

That's quite the creation and it looks amazing! And, getting back to the original post, the mirrors don't look too out of place.

Um... Yeah... I was going to say, that truck is different... Wow.

Yeah, that's them... The doors I got for my 250 only have the upper plate in them so I could use those mirrors without changing anything. To run the stock mirrors I have to add the bottom plate to screw the mirrors.

Just trying to see if I like them or not.

If you don't want to screw in the lower brace for the stock mirrors, another option is the smaller 1980-1986 "sport" mirrors:

Considering I'm going to tow occasionally with this I think I'll pass on the sport mirrors. Plus being an F250 Super Cab they'd get lost...

I think the mouse ears are out too...

I'll keep the standard mirrors.

Here's the setup that's on my 87. It came that way. It looks like some aftermarket tow mirrors on the original frames. Does that sound right? Anybody know where I could get the upper mirror parts to recreate this?

I'm replacing my '80 doors this summer with '92 doors and I'm going to use the "mouse ears" I got from a '95. I think they're better looking and may even paint the black plastic to match the truck.

That's not aftermarket mirror, the top part is the factory Ford Recreational Tri Pod towing mirrors, looks like they just used the mirror part of that, and bolted it on the stock swing away mirrors.

These are the towing tri pod ones.

That's on my '87 Motorhome.

I been thinking about putting the chrome "mouse ear" mirrors on my rig. I know you can get them in two types, manual and power. I plan on using the manual if I do the switch, are there any major modifications, or is it a simple bolt on switch? I realize I will need to remove and fill the lower mirror mounting point.

Thanks

IDI, they're not exactly the same. Look at the mounts, yours mount to a plate on the back, mine go into the mirror. Also the bend is different. I think they're a knock off of the factory tow mirrors.

If you look at mine, I just put the lower screws back in the holes. I cut the brace off the mirror bracket that runs through the door. I also used license plate mounts in the door to attach the mirrors to the door. They have been on there a couple of years and there is no splitting of the sheetmetal. I do get some vibration, but not as bad as the western style were.

That's on my '87 Motorhome.

They are aftermarket, do a Google search for Truck-lite 97662 and it should come up.
