I have a predicament here. I have a 1966 f100 that originally was a 4 speed manual. Before i purchased the truck the body was transfered to a 1975 4x4 highboy frame which is a c6 automatic with a non factory 429 swap. The clutch pedal is still in the 66 and i want to put a 4 speed back into it (np435). 2 questions i have are how difficult this is gonna be i.e. how much down time do i need to expect if im not using a shop or power tools and is the bell housing on the 429 the same as a 460?
What they are trying to say is that the 460 bell housing will bolt on a 429. Same with the 351m/400. Not the same part number, but they work like they are made for the motor.
Are the 352 and 429 C6's the same? If so, I'd swap you out everything for the NP435 for the C6 assembly.
Nothing ive found says that they would be any different. My C6 is set up with a slap shifter. I dont have the piece that shows you what gear you are in. The transmission itself is brand new, less than 1000 miles on it.

If you want to use your stock pedal and most of the linkage just use a 429 Bell housing.

I have the factory shifter on the column because it is from a '71 F250 with power steering. I saved the collar and the internals to put it back when I do the automatic swap. I have a C6 in my basement that came out of a '67 passenger car with an FE, but it needs rebuilt.
