Hello, I have recently aquired a 1979 Ford F-250 Custom 4X4 Lifted, 35's, 400M, 4-spd, Dual exhaust. My first FORD. Working out little things here and there, but so far I love this truck
Welcome to FTE get closer to the truck, we do not like borders in our pic, all Ford so we can really get an eye on it.
Looks like a nice truck, now how about some under the hood and the drivetrain and interior pics, please?
Once again welcome and what rims do you have on it weld stone crushers or what? The look like a set I might have in my garage and would like a a better wheel tire combo shot please.
Also like the grey/gunmetal ? inside the racetrack chrome gives me an idea......
That is a great looking truck. And I personally don't mind a little border. I think it is interesting to see the countryside (or cityscape) where everyone calls home. Again, that is a great first Ford.
beautiful truck, only thing I see wrong with it is the plastic trim around the headlights. One is grey(Drivers side) and one is black with chrome around the edge(pass. side).
Make sure you keep it washed especially if they use salt in your area.
Thanks for the compliments. here are the requested photos. I really like the wheels, except that they are 16.5's... Tires are Les Schwab junk. Probably break down and buy a new set of BFG's.
Today I ordered new MATCHING door panels from LMC and a headliner from NPD. Still debating on what to do with the dash pad... As someone mentioned, Headlight bezels are on my list, as is a grille.
EDIT: I really like a previous owners idea of diamond plate below the door panels too!
Oh it shifts nice. I hardly use granny, of course. Last summer I had a 1977 ****terley C20 Scottsdale with a 350 and granny tranny. It drove and shifted like a piece of farm equipment
Maul maul just kidding on the pic border thing....and thanks 65 ranger for the pic. Oh those are steel/chrome 8 on 6 1/2 x 16.5's wow....BFG's in a 16.5 could be a hard thing to find and even then $$$$cha-ching.
You might consider 16's rim wise to give you a better tire selection in the long run. Thanks for the interior and eng shots, you have a sharp looking truck.
Different idea to get the door panels to match if you need to save some $.
