I am preparing to do a coolant flush. My delta is around 8 to 11 degrees running at ect of 190F.
I am wondering if I should flush it out with just distilled water and maybe some non sudsing soap ( I heard someone mention Cascade),or do it all the way with Restore and VC-9 and chance clogging up my oil cooler worse.
I have not towed with this rig yet, but that is the reason I bought it. We have a 8X16 enclosed trailer to help us move and it will be getting packed pretty full, tho not nearly heavy enough to be anywhere near the towing capacity of the truck. I would like to do the flush before we move to OR the end of April.
I m thinking just to do the one without the Restore/VC9 cleaners for now, so as not to dislodge stuff and possibly mess up our move come April.
This 11 deg difference sure has me sitting on the fence as far as what to do and when to do it.
i believe there is a coolant flush in our tech folders. i'd jus follow everything step-by-step. cant go wrong there. u could go get the fleetrite restore vc-9 from ur local tractor supply or ur local international dealer. they're cheaper there than at the ford dealer.
i understand wat u mean. 11 degrees. neither here nor there. best of luck!
