Custom or Ranger or.........

How can I tell what model my sons 1976 F100 is? When he bought it the PO had all of the molding off and the badging. It is a 1976 F100 with a 390 or 360 engine, 2wd, C6 automatic, long bed and extended cab. The PO did give us all of the molding but we haven't found the "RANGER or CUSTOM" markings. Also where's a good web site to see pictures of the truck as they were originally?

If the warranty plate is still mounted, you can decode it by the body code:
