Ok, i put a budget clutch from NAPA in my 95 and it feels totaly different. It reminds me a of an 70's Ford 390 clutch its real stiff at the bottom of pedal. But this still doesnt answer that paper on paper sound when driving, and it goes away just as soon as i depress the pedal, i am positive it is somethin to do with the throwout.

That's just gear rollover.

The vibrations of the motor are being transferred to the Transmission.

The DMF was to eliminate that, but its a faulty product anyways, which we all know.

My Rollover was horrible when I first got mine, but now its fine.

The only other thing that causes the problem your describing is a bent tooth on the PP that is dragging on the throwout.

No idea really.

Gear rollover is hit or miss as it is.

Some people with worn out transmissions don't get any at all, and some people with brand new rebuilds get a lot.

Mine got quieter and quieter the more I drove it.

I threw in an extra qt of oil though the shifter hole too to help quiet it down.

The driver's brain, I think. We're on SMFs on both trucks, and they seemed louder than Sam Kinison screaming at a Ramones concert in Hell when first installed. I honestly can't say that they appreciably quieted down, but we just don't notice it anymore. Sorta like people who live next to the railroad tracks, after a while you just tune it out. I'd be curious to hop in a DMF truck now and light it up, just to see how it sounds to us now.
