fan doesnt work (fanswitch)

the fan switch to the heater/ac is tempermental, some times it works some times nothing. sometime its on hi or or low, changing from vent to defrost doesnt change anything.
wondering how to fix?
is it the fan switch itself?

try fiddling the ignition switch. i only had a truck that the turn signals would only work if you fiddled the key a bit after starting, as the switch was a little too far toward the start position to send power to all the accessories. you may have a similar case thats not sending power to your fan switch.
if that doesn't change it, buy a fan switch and go from there

On mine it was the switch....it got progressively harder to turn, then it stopped altogether...when I took it apart it was fried... had to tape the plug together just to hold it on the new switch....since, I have gotten a new plug , but the taped up one is still holding...When I take the dash apart again I will install the new plug...Alot of BS just to change a switch....
