ok so, I have this brake issue, I loose pressure all the way until about an inch or 2 from the floor board, master cylinder and booster were replaced, and I took it to the dealer for them to bleed it out, and nothing is making a change, the only thing that I can thin at all that it would be is the metal block that the 2 lines from the cylinder go to, and then they spilt at the bottom to go to each of the wheels, I THINK it's called the brake or ABS control module... is there a rebuild kit, cause I'm thinking it's like a 1500 dollar part.. and it's driving me nuts.. i don't no what the deal is. any idea's?
Abs works fine... If it does kick in though my right front will stick when I let off until I press down again then it will release... Both front calipers have been replaced... I am just completely stumped. It doesn't make since
So the dealer took the money without doing the job right?
Several members (including me) have rear calipers the same where one is installed upside down with bleeder at the bottom. Make sure this is not your case?
Well... He did the brake bleed properly... So he didn't NOT finish the job... He did what he was supposed to... However it didn't fix the problem... Because I don't know what it is... And I'm pretty sure... Like 90% My rear calipers as for all four are installed properly... This issue is so irritating I'm looking for a new truck.. Still a ford, just new and with the diesel... But still. I fix everything and can't figure this one out... Something is leaking by or malfunctioning!
well there dosnt seem to be a proportiong valve on your truck, i bet its something you have already done, was not done right, or was not a good replacement part. i dont think there is a magic answer for you here
did you bench bleed the master cylinder properly... Like i was saying, its a simple system, along with the principles of hydraulics.... what is the condition of the hoses, you just need to go through the system again and nail it down
I deal with hydraulics at work... Along with a bunch of other things... Anywho hoses are fine and cylinder was bled before I bled like 3 times and the the dealership properly bled... So I don't know
