I adjusted the toe in to get rid of the shakes on my 1970 250 4x4, now it's shaking again. What else can cause the shakes, cause its worse turning left or right I forget, but it seems like the wheel with the steering stuff hooked to it contributes to the worser turns. Am I making sense?
Your truck has roller bearing in the front hub assembly that functions like ball joints.
I changed mine a while ago and that solved the shaking.
I also found that my truck likes about 1/16" of toe in with new tie-rod ends. You could probably go with 1/8" with older ones.
Only problem is that the Dashboard Hula Girl isnt nearly as much fun to watch now!
