I have a 2001 f 250. I need to replace the fuel pump, I was just wondering if anybody has done this? any information or advice would be helpful. thank you for your time and information.
EDIT: Didn't see it was posted in the V10 forum, sorry.
I did mine right after I bought it, it wasn't bad at all. The hardest thing (to me) was disconnecting the filler and vent lines from the tank. They had been clamped on for 11 years and did NOT want to come off.
I supported the tank, took the straps off, dropped the tank enough to get my hands in there to disconnect the fuel lines, vent and filler. After that, drop the tank the rest of the way and it was a cakewalk.
Fred, i wouldn't be "afraid" of anything, it's arguably a simple job. I actually did it all by myself, only needing help from my daughter to position the jack when i lifted it back up into place.
