Failing Fuel Pump- Question
I can put gas into my back tank, and it will run perfectly, but my gas milage is like 10 mpg. What is happening is the rest of the fuel is ending up back in my front tank. Then I have to drive on the front tank to use up the gas, or else it will overflow out the cap. Right now the front tank runs, but the pump is definately getting weaker. My question is this: Is there any way I can prevent the fuel from going back into my front tank? This would be a temporary fix until I get time to drop my tank. I didn't know if there is a check valve that I need to replace or maybe there's a line I can pinch off? Please help me answer this question.. If I need to clear anything up let me know.
Thanks!
John

As a side note, I am still running on the rear tank and pump. I just recently bought a brand new pump for my midship tank on ebay for 33 bucks.
Next project is to put that pump in and the tank back in place.
