Brakes lines

How much trouble will I be facing if I replace the brake lines myself in my 98 expedition, or is it somewhat an easy job?

I replaced the rear side to side line, pretty easy job. The problem I ran into was that the lines from autozone only had the correct fitting on one side, so I had to buy another fitting and get the line flanged. Definitely something to check out, that line went out without any warning, I'm just glad that it happened in the driveway.

Unless you are lucky, it won't be back in the same place. When I did mine last year, I wound up going to carquest to get the right size connectors & lines.
