correct coolant temperaature sender

Just installed Ford reman 7.3 motor. However they have updated the wire to the temp sender. So the old temp sender does not plug into the new socket!
Does anyone know what sender I need. Ford parts is just showing the original part number, not the updated one that I am looking for. Thanks

I doubt they updated anything... More then likely the wrong sender is installed, or your trying to plug the wrong thing into it. The oil temp and water temp look very similar so check that out.
