My 2006 HD F 150 is having head light issues. Prob 6 months ago I noticed at night time and only night time the ride side would not flash. Prob 3 months ago the left side went out. Now at night time I have no flashing I can manually make them work up and down. The mirror lights stay on also at night. I have taken it to several shops and know seems to know what is going on. I checked all the flashers I think and was told if they flash good during the day or with the lights off that wasnt the issue.
Sometimes if I manually turn on my lights with the turn signal on you can hear a buzzing sound somewhere behind the steering wheel.
Has anyone ever ran in to this problem I do not want to have to take it and get re-wired completely to find the issue thats prob what will happen since everyone I speak to about it has no idea what it could be.
Also at night when I shut my door the hazards blink like when you set the alarm and this is at night only I guess it could be during the day also would be hard to see.
Thanks to anyone who may have any tips, ideas, anything to help me before I have to pay a fortune.
I'm not sure I'm understanding your issue. If you're having an issue with when you use the turnsignal that one side doesn't flash while the other does then it's likely the switch itself. If you hit the hazard light button and it blows the fuse, definitely the switch.
I've had that in 2 vehicles (97 F150 & 97 Marquis), in both cases it was the switch that the turn signals are part of. Replacing that fixed it in both cases. IIRC it was around $200 each time to have the shop do it.
