I have a 2005 f250 with the 5.4 triton. I have a lift with 35s. When im driving at a steady pace on the highway or anywhere the truck shifts into the top gear and the rpms are at about 1100. After this happens if i start climbing a hill the truck skips and jolts and i have to hit the gas hard to get it to pick up speed so it will come put of it. What causes this. Any help would be great!
So...did you ever get your PCM reprogrammed for the larger tire size? If NOT, then your tranny will miss its shift points.
Rotations per Mile (rpm) are very important to these newer trucks. Your truck if not programmed correctly...will still think it has the smaller OEM size tire.
