You don't need a Y pipe, the '05 and newer trucks have a much better designed exhaust system. As was said before, the lift and big tires are killing your MPG. I would say you are getting good gas mileage for what you have.

Regear your axles, but at the cost of that it will take a very long time for it to pay off.

Thumbs up

Welcome to FTE!!!

Thinking the same...with going with gear change. Speaking of gears...airborne...what gears you running?

Another thought...is go with 5-Star Tuning. They are an FTE sponsor...and know the V10 3v personally.

Got a V10 Ford F250/350/450/550?

Good luck with it...

I drive a lot of freeway miles unloaded and average 10.5-11mpg. You're doing great with your lift and tires.

5" exhaust is WAY too big, if anything it will hurt your performance and MPG. CAI won't do anything but lighten your wallet. Unfortunately, a lift and big tires kills your gas mileage. Nothing you can do about it. As they say.....If you wanna play, you gotta pay!

The 5 Star tuner may help a little bit, but othe than that the only thing you could really do to improve your mileage is put the truck back to stock height and put stock tires on it.

Another thing, was the truck ever reprogrammed for the larger tires?

The 37s are roughly 12% larger than stock. If the truck wasn't reprogrammed, your speedometer is reading 12% lower than your actual speed and the odometer is racking up 12% fewer miles than you are actually traveling, which also means you are actually getting about 12% more MPG than what you are figuring.

To my knowledge the truck has never been reprogrammed , I know my speedometer is off by about 5-8 mph but I did the calculator math on the mpg and I'm getting around what the dash is telling me

Your odometer is off also, so the computer thinks you still have stock tires. Also I would bet your trans is shifting at the wrong times.
