Help on Compression Check
Also does anybody have the head torque specs and sequence they can send me. gdavis@rahco.com
Thanks guys
The Haynes manual has the torque spec & pattern, and LOTS of other good info, so spend the $12.
For any engine, the lowest pressure should be at least 75% of the highest, and at least 85% of the adjacent cylinders. The actual pressure you get depends on the compression ratio, the ambient air pressure, the engine's condition, and the gauge's accuracy, so that's why it's rarely published. Ideally, it's 14.7 x the compression ratio.
