First trip with new mods.
We'll i just got back from my first trip with all the mods i have done. I use to get about 14.5 per gallon with my 4 door 4x4.
Now after installing the 4"exhaust, 6637, gauges and DP tuner i got to take it on a road trip. I tried My 60 and 80 eco tunes.
I ran from my house in Oxnard to Barstow with another stop in between. it was a 170 miles. I filled up an empty tank here in Oxnard 25 gallons. drove at 70 mph and in barstow, I could only get in 9.5 gallons. This was on the 80 hp tune
170 / 9.5 = 17.894 MPG, At 70 MPH. That was with climbing up the 15 cajon pass.
Then i drove to Dumont to race my Quad i had in the bed with my gear. Drove around in the sand to make bathroom runs.
At the end of the day i drove back to barstow and got fuel at the same place. I drove between 80 and 85 mph in a head wind.
I could only get 15 gallons in. 212 / 15 = 14.13 MPG. At 83 MPH. That was with driving in the sand for about 10 miles.
Then drove back to oxnard to the same fuel station and topped off.
I could only get 9.3 gallons in. the drive back was 159 miles. 159 / 9.3 = 17.096
On this trip, 9 hrs of driving and 7 hrs playing. it was an 18 hr round trip day...
541 miles with 33.8 gallons used. works out to an over all of 16.000 MPG.
Not too bad for a 4x4 with a bike and gear in the back, when i was getting 14.5 Without the power and performance before
