Part of the diesel Rx claim is that the heat should be concentrated at the tip, also reducing swelling and the possibility of getting stuck.,,... So the video says... Any how I'll probably end up putting morcraft in. Seems like stood stand by

heat at the tip ensures the tip will swell and break off before the rest of the plug.
the beru glow plug takes longer to heat up, thus ensuring the whole plug glows at the same rate. this will make the glow plug last much longer than any of the others.

and besides all that, the glow plug system in navastar diesels was designed to use beru glow plugs.
that is why all other glow plugs burn out so fast. the controller system is designed for a slower heatup, ensuring the whole plug glows instead of just the tip.

remember, just because they cost more does not mean they are better.
motorcraft/beru glow plugs are rite around $10 each from a whole bunch of retailers.

The rx may have started to heat faster but the entire tip of the Beru plug finished heating long before the others.

as i used to say, if all those other glow plugs are so damn good, why did ford decide to use the motorcraft/beru glow plugs instead of one of the other "better" brands.
each system is designed to use a certain glow plug.
Motorcraft/beru glow plugs for Fords.
AC Delco or champions for Chevy.
bosch for some of the imports.
wellman/Diesel Rx for 24 volt military chevys

but they are not designed for the slow warmup of our system. they are designed for the fast burn like the chevy uses. tht is why they glow tip first and burn up fast when used on a long burn ford glow plug controller.
