With 850 miles on the clock hooked up 6,000 # empty horse trailer drove 760 miles put 2100# horse in trailer drove 760 miles home and truck ran awsome it was everything i hoped it would be! she is a cab chassis 4x4 with a magnum aluminum bed on her xl in tuxedo black.. Gave 11.5 mpg driving 65mph. Driving 75 mpg gave 10.3..... Liked 75 mph much better!!! brake assist or whatever you call it is kinda cool..... forgive my rambling post but did the same trip with a 99 dodge 2500 last year and what a different expirience this trip was.
I agree with Senix. The more you drive it with loads the more you will like it. I am getting the same mileage you reported when I pull 14,000 lbs at 75. I am always amazed at how this truck performs.
How about some pictures of it. The wife and I are looking at replacing the 06 again, but I just cant bring myself to do it. I built a twin to mine except in a dually and the 65k sticker price turns me off.
I drove a 2012 350 crew that was a twin to my 06 except it was blue...the truck was awesome but I cant justify that truck either. Dont get me wrong I would love to have one, but being a buisness owner you never know what lurks around the corner and to take on another substantial payment isnt what I want right now.
But I read on these boards alot, dont post much, and I hope all you 6.7 folks have many enjoyable, and reliable miles put behind you. I am seriously jealous, and I may just cave one day and become a member of your club.

14,000 3 will be where I am at with the trailer fully loaded, glad to hear it will do the full load with ease
I hate to be that guy, but I have a question. I'm having new trailer tires mounted 225/75/15 E tires and everything I read says 65MPH or slower.
Are y'all having better luck with trailer tires? I won't be maxed out on weight. More like maybe 70% capacity. (Flatbed utility trailer)
Are you using LT tires?
Nice to hear these trucks continue to rock!
I have the 80 psi ST235/80R16 LR-E on my 20 ft flatbed and my understanding is 65 mph max for ST tires, too.
I've never had them over 62 mph though.
I just don't drive fast when a trailer is attached.
Seems the extra time it takes me is worth it over whatever bad things can happen if I do something dumb on purpose.
Just hauled my 30' 5th wheel camper for the first time with my 2012 - 250 super duty 6.7 1,600 miles and got 10.4 average pr gallon, ( first 75 miles in 4 wheel drive ).....really about the same as my 08 2500 duramax got last year.
