Question

2002 7.3L stall issue

I have a 2002 F250 7.3L 195,000 miles on it. It shuts down when under hood temp reaches normal max and wont restart until about 20 minute cool down. I am able to able to make this happen in the shop and the last shut down I replaced the CMP with a new one from ford still no start until cool down. There is no check engine light. Could it be the IPR ?

Welcome to FTE. Yes IPR is a possibility. Do you have a way to monitor ICP or IPR live data? Have you tried unplugging the ICP sensor to see if it still stalls when warm?

x2 on the ICP. Sounds like it works fine when cold since the PCM is following a map, but once warm it looks to follow a real signal and...

.

How's the oil level? Dead IAT?
