Hey everyone......I have to pull my '86 460 out of my '77 and figured while its out it would be a good time for some up grades. It is currently bone stock. I'm would love to raise the compression but don't want to get into the bottom end. I basically want to improve both. Torque. And HP but keep the powerband twords the lower end. In addition I need to focus on quality inexpensive parts. Intake, cam, Carb, ect So far I have a set of 3/4 length headers picked out....I want to go with a new "straight up" double roller timing chain as well. I have no idea about cam. I will have the heads worked on....3 angle....bowl blend and exhaust port work....stock rockers will stay. Thinking weiand stealth and I have a Holly 750 vac sec already n figure that would suffice. Any ideas are welcome! Especially on the cam inprovment that will work with stock valvetrain.. lift? Duration? Sepangle? Thank you!
