I am not sure how you are defining a "small sedan", but I would not anticipate problems. Are you using a tow dolly?
yes i will most likey rent a dolly from uHaul and its 2010 lancer my truck already has the trans cooler i posted this on a diff thread earlier not knowing we had a towing section but a guy said to add all the temp guages so it would help me watch stuff

Given that you have a tranny cooler, just take it easy and I think you will be fine. I never try to set speed records when I tow and there is not doubt towing eats fuel, but I can't see how 1,000 miles will pose any particular difficulty. Did you check the tow rating in your owner's manual. A Lancer is not super heavy.
i will have to look that up but i also have some after market helper bags i took off a super duty and was thinking about putting those on mine what exactly does the ride hight have to do with towing and do if they will fit do i put them in the same spot as they were with the super duty.

Given that you are towing with a dolly, I doubt you need helpers. All you are going to add to the rear in terms of downward weight is the weight of the tow dolly hitch. The Lancer weight is riding on the dolly.
You want your truck level so your front end has enough weight to keep you pointed where you want to go.
