So i got ahold of some motor mounts today, got under my truck after jacking the motor up, and i loosened what i believed to be the trouble mount. problem is, even with everything unbuttoned from it, it refuses to move. The "good" mount on the driver side will slide freely up and down when i jack up the motor, but this one is seized in place. Heres some pics.
I have no idea how to get it to move, ive beat on it, and squirted it with pen. oil. Any ideas?
i ran out of english profanities, im halfway through spanish. I just got done using an air chistle on it, still nothing. im about to unbolt the entire bracket its on
Got the little bugger. took some portugese profanity, lol.
when i got it off tho, the motor dropped to that side, so that means it was still load bearing even when it was jacked up. I dont understand, is the passenger side heavier than the driver side on the motor?
well, put the mount in, got one bolt started, and the other hole is off by about 1/16 of an inch, so the other bolt wont start....... friggan story of my life.
Anyway, just verifying that Part number 602-1572 is the correct motor mount for a 90' 351
