Swapping out Steering column on truck. 1966 f100 camper spec. with auto. One I have auto handle missing and linkage broke. Got a 66 from bone yard that was rebuilt by guy.
Question: the one I have in my truck is shorter then the one that come from bone yard. He told me that in 67- 72 they were a little shorter. Is that right?
I'm trying to move the floor shift back to column and am coming up Zero on column-tranny linkage, I have the CruiseOmatic tranny. Know of anyone that might have that linkage?
The power steering columns are shorter versus the manual steering columns ...Im all but sure that holds true for the 67-71 setup as well...A tape measure is invaluable in this kind of swap when you are dealing with two different generations of trucks.
Both are from manual steering. I guess what Im asking is the later years, 67-72 shorter? Coulumn should work if I can get the linkage pices thru firewall. its a litle bigger then mine ancan't seem to make it thru the whole..
